 Kids will be born starting in November, and through the spring of 2009. We are crossing some of the Nubians with a boer buck and these kids will be available in the spring.
We have shown our Boers at Tulsa and the Kansas State Fair and have enjoyed some wins. Pictures can be seen on the Boer page.
For four generations this family has been involved in farming and raising animals. Over the years we have raised and sold fish, hogs, and cattle, and raised horses. Now we raise commercial and Texas Longhorn cattle, Nubian Dairy goats, and South African Boer goats.
Raising healthy animals is our priority and we go to great lengths to give each animal the best care possible. All are vaccinated for diseases particular to their species, and provided with regular treatment for parasites. |
Nubian Dairy Goats had been an interest for some time and in 2001 we finally purchased our first does. We took part in the American Dairy Goat Association Linear Appraisal in 2006 and 2008 and look forward to milk testing in the future. Through a fortunate acquitision we were able to purchase a son of Smooth Operator (picured in the header). He has significantly improved the herd and we have a number of his offspring. Please see the Nubian page for pictures of some of the animals. They are registered with ADGA under the name "Jan's Kids". I enjoy showing them especially when someone wins his or her class, or even wins a leg on their Championship. Pictures of some of the Nubians can be seen on the Nubian page.
